Because quartz and marble have great resemblance to the moon, planets, and constellation, we proposed an idea to water jet cut the stones in circular forms and have them hung by aircraft cables in a curated fashion for an immersive showroom. At various heights and proper lighting techniques, we created a celestial environment for visitors. We hung over 200 stone discs, which varied in diametre sizes. We designed custom hardware for the quartz in order to loop the aircraft cables and hang the material from the existing beams and trusses.
