THE MUSEUM, 2016
For NUIT BLANCHE TORONTO
An immersive seating space representing a memory of a pool that was once used as a makeshift morgue. The tiled wallpaper is tactile with engraved grout. We projected videos of everyday spaces: a bedroom with curtains blowing from the wind versus bedroom curtains blowing violently due to an explosion. We added speakers to the walls that resembled to return-inlets for audio support. It is also an accessible space as we included an AODA ramp at the entrance. The skateboard ramp like shape, serves as a seating area. Although not intended, it was also a playful space as children competitively ran up the ramp.
